About the Role

The Brooklyn College Ed Prep program is an accelerated teacher preparation program exclusively for NYCPS school-based staff. Participants receive support from school leaders, the Ed Prep NYC team, and the cohort to build a successful teaching career. Field consultants provide mentorship and guidance for two years through classroom observations, reflective conversations, and support in developing effective instructional practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting classroom observations (in person or virtual)
  • Providing constructive feedback and coaching
  • Supporting participants in meeting program requirements
  • Communicating with program staff regarding teacher progress
  • Other duties as assigned
