About the Role
Heidi is seeking an individual to own the clinical coding engine, the coder seat interface, and the forward-deployed workflow design within health systems. This role also involves owning the commercial story, including financial models, ROI proof points, and outcome metrics for health system contracts. The position requires a deep understanding of revenue cycle workflows like ICD-10, DRG assignment, HCC capture, and E&M levelling, with no ramp-up time expected for on-site customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Own the revenue cycle product across Australia, the UK, and the US, determining product strategy and sequencing.
- Conduct on-site discovery at health systems to understand coder workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and present end-to-end ROI models to health system stakeholders.
- Define and measure coding accuracy as a key product metric, building necessary evaluation infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clinicians to improve documentation quality upstream.
- Address AI resistance within coding departments and navigate IT procurement processes.
- Partner with engineering on the connection and evaluation layers for product deployment.
- Shape the commercial strategy for revenue cycle products, including pricing and sales enablement.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Engineering, and Marketing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping product in healthcare, specifically selling to or building for health systems.
- Working fluency in revenue cycle workflows including ICD-10, DRG assignment, HCC capture, and E&M levelling.
- ROI-first thinking with the ability to build business cases independently.
- Demonstrated passion for AI through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects.
- Fluency with core LLM concepts and systems (prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, evaluation).
- A bias for building over requesting.
- Strong opinions, held loosely.
- Data fluency with the ability to diagnose and specify improvements for model failures.
- High tolerance for 0-to-1 ambiguity and comfort with a product in discovery and prototype stages.
- A belief in the transformative power of great design.
