About the Role

The Growth team owns monetization and self-serve growth, focusing on how Gamma grows and converts that growth into a business. Monetization builds shared systems for revenue generation, while self-serve growth enhances user-facing experiences like onboarding and activation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the engineering team across monetization infrastructure and product-led growth.
  • Own the monetization platform, including payment integrations, subscription management, billing, AI usage tracking and crediting, and pricing systems.
  • Own growth surfaces such as onboarding and activation flows, in-product education and discovery, lifecycle experiences, notifications, and messaging infrastructure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data, and other engineering teams to optimize the user funnel.
  • Build and manage a team capable of rapid experimentation and durable system development.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers.
  • Contribute to broader engineering and EPD leadership by identifying and addressing opportunities or misalignment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior+ engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience leading growth engineering with a proven track record of improving activation, retention, and conversion metrics.
  • Experience with monetization or payments infrastructure (subscriptions, billing, app store payments, pricing systems).
  • Ability to deeply consider product experiences and identify areas for funnel improvement.
  • High cross-functional fluency.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity to identify and drive growth opportunities.
  • Hands-on technical ability to evaluate architecture, guide technical direction, review code, and prototype.
