About the Role
As an Insurance Operations Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the operational execution of Swiss Re's reinsurance business across North America. You will work with colleagues across multiple functions to ensure data accuracy, efficient business processes, and smooth client transaction processing from onboarding through execution. You will be trusted to manage important operational activities while continuously learning about the business and identifying areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support the onboarding of new business by ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
- Review, validate, and maintain operational data to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Monitor operational metrics and KPIs, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues when appropriate
- Assist with governance, audit, and compliance activities by preparing documentation and supporting internal control processes
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and help simplify operational workflows
- Partner with teams across Client Markets, Treaty Administration, Finance, Valuation, and other business areas to support the full business lifecycle
- Provide responsive, professional support to internal stakeholders while delivering excellent service
- Expand knowledge through cross-training and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, administration, financial services, insurance, or a related field (internship experience also considered)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and validate data accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset and a desire to continuously improve processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
