About the Role
Join JLL's dynamic Capital Markets team as a Debt Analyst, where you'll play an integral role in the placement of debt and equity for commercial real estate transactions. This position offers comprehensive exposure to every phase of the transaction lifecycle, from initial underwriting and market research to closing and client relationship management. You will develop sophisticated financial modeling skills while creating compelling offering memorandums that drive successful capital placements. Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive debt and equity offering memorandums incorporating detailed market research, sophisticated financial modeling, and compelling executive summaries for diverse commercial real estate transactions.
- Develop and execute complex financial models utilizing market data and JLL resources to ensure accurate underwriting across various property types and transaction structures.
- Manage due diligence processes efficiently while driving marketing and closing activities, coordinating with multiple stakeholders throughout each transaction lifecycle.
- Maintain consistent communication with Producers, market participants, and clients, providing regular updates and facilitating smooth transaction progression.
- Analyze marketing feedback and provide strategic recommendations to help clients optimize their business plans and capital structures for maximum market appeal.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency with databases to identify relevant market data for trend analysis and preparation of client presentations and pitch materials.
- Review and interpret complex real estate documentation including leases, loan documents, and appraisals to identify potential issues and provide strategic guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis environment, with mortgage banking or commercial real estate industry experience strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling, along with Outlook and Word.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing, and communication abilities with demonstrated client-facing capabilities.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
- Self-motivated with strong team orientation and excellent time management skills to manage multiple concurrent deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and marketing data effectively in written format for various stakeholder audiences.
- Experience with Argus Enterprise or other commercial real estate financial modeling software.
- Database management experience and advanced data analysis capabilities.
- Previous exposure to commercial real estate transactions, underwriting, or capital markets activities.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate property types, market fundamentals, and financing structures.
- Experience in client relationship management or business development activities.
- Familiarity with real estate legal documentation and due diligence processes.
- Active participation in real estate trade organizations or professional networking groups.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
