About the Role
The Digital Merchandiser manages the online presence of the Royal Canin and Eukanuba portfolios, focusing on enhancing shopper engagement, optimizing search performance, and maintaining best-in-class content across e-retailer websites.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end new item setup, catalog maintenance, and product lifecycle transitions.
- Drive Perfect Digital Store (PDS) improvements including image, enhanced, and search content, as well as ratings and reviews.
- Develop SEO-optimized content strategies in coordination with brand teams, marketing, and retailers.
- Partner with Central Content & Marketing to ensure accurate product launches and updates.
- Implement test-and-learn initiatives to inform digital strategies.
- Analyze competitor content, search, and merchandising strategies to provide actionable insights.
- Optimize keyword development and maintain awareness of industry trends.
- Act as a strategic thought leader in customer meetings to identify digital growth opportunities.
- Lead digital education efforts for internal teams and external retail customers.
- Manage special projects such as Mobile Images, Content Playbooks, and Ratings & Reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital commerce or digital merchandising.
- Experience managing brand product portfolios online.
- Strong understanding of the eCommerce landscape.
- Ability to benchmark market best practices in search, placement, content, and ratings/reviews.
- Understanding of Salsify and Smartsheet.
- Familiarity with reporting dashboards like CIQ, NIQ, and PowerBI.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SEO.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Proven project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
