About the Role
The Coordinator, Programming Operations supports the A&E, History, and Lifetime Scheduling, Acquisition and Strategy team by optimizing programming processes, refining program metadata, and providing administrative support. This role is key to managing the greenlight process, coordinating cross-functional communications, and gaining exposure to executive leadership and content strategy.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the monthly greenlight process for A&E, History, Lifetime, LMN and FYI.
- Assemble and distribute key documents for monthly and bi-weekly decks.
- Coordinate key creative and financial details with internal departments.
- Manage the lifecycle of content, ensuring metadata accuracy and consistency.
- Support EVP Department Head with calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel coordination, and expense processing.
- Perform program scheduling tasks, including entering schedules, creating air schedules, and managing revisions.
- Build presentations as needed for ad-hoc projects.
- Develop and improve processes using technology and AI to enhance departmental workflows.
- Contribute to new programming strategies on linear and non-linear platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, film, television or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working independently with large datasets and complex operational systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication & organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
- Knowledge and interest in the television programming and the pop culture competitive landscape.
- Strong interest in data analysis and applying data-based solutions is a plus.
