About the Role

The Retail Associate is a Full-Time position responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience by engaging in various store tasks and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Greet all customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Follow company best practice standards.
  • Ensure proper merchandise presentation.
  • Perform a range of functions in all areas of the store as business needs require.
  • Practice safe behaviors and maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor.
  • Maintain clutter-free, clear egress to emergency exits.
  • Correct or report any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy.
  • Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions knowledgeably.
  • Provide prompt and efficient responses to customers.
  • Handle customer issues courteously and helpfully.
  • Represent and support the Company brand.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in merchandise, customer, and team areas.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.
  • Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor.
  • Understand Loss Prevention Awareness programs and merchandise protection standards.
  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions.
  • Safeguard confidential information, cash, credit card information, and merchandise.
  • Follow all Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) policies.
  • Follow all policies and procedures concerning financial transactions.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and accuracy when handling tenders.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to perform role efficiently.
  • Maximize productivity by executing all Store best practices.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to work Full-Time hours.
  • Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
  • Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
  • Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds (for Stockroom shifts).
