About the Role
Law360 is seeking a senior reporter to cover the adoption of legal technology and artificial intelligence across law firms, courts, and regulators. This role involves breaking news, spotting emerging trends, and delivering insightful coverage on how technology is reshaping the business and practice of law. The reporter will focus on the rise of generative AI and the broader transformation of legal services through technology, cultivating a network of sources and translating complex concepts into clear journalism.
Responsibilities
- File quick-turn stories on major developments in the legal industry.
- Produce deeply reported features and enterprise pieces.
- Cultivate a network of sources across the legal tech ecosystem.
- Generate scoops.
- Chase exclusive reporting.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling journalism.
- Move seamlessly between breaking news, analysis, and longer-form feature stories.
Requirements
- Possess at least five years of full-time, paid reporting experience.
- Demonstrated reporting and writing skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the tech landscape, AI, SaaS and related topics.
- Ability to generate own story ideas that are relevant and timely.
- Experience working a beat.
- Collaborative approach and desire to follow the news.
- Ability to juggle daily news and longer-term features and enterprise reporting.
