About the Role
Lead program management for Data Transformation projects within the Finance Velocity Office. Drive execution, governance, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment across Finance data initiatives, supporting larger Finance and enterprise programs. Partner with various teams to translate Finance strategy into integrated roadmaps, manage dependencies, and deliver scalable data capabilities with speed, quality, and measurable business value. Requires strong data fluency, program management discipline, and executive communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program management for the Finance Data Transformation Roadmap, including planning, governance, milestones, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting.
- Maintain integrated program plans across data ingestion, quality, reporting, analytics, governance, controls, and platform adoption workstreams.
- Serve as the program management liaison for large Finance and enterprise initiatives interacting with or depending on Finance Data.
- Partner across Finance Transformation, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Deals, Data, Technology, and Product teams to align priorities, requirements, timelines, and delivery plans.
- Identify and manage cross-program risks, integration points, sequencing challenges, resource constraints, and decision needs.
- Support the Finance Velocity Office operating model, including portfolio governance, prioritization, delivery discipline, performance tracking, and leadership decision support.
- Develop scalable PMO standards, dashboards, templates, status reporting, and leadership materials.
- Drive transparency across the portfolio by creating a clear view of progress, risks, and decision needs.
- Facilitate steering committees, working sessions, leadership updates, decision forums, and escalation processes.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and translate complex topics into clear business implications.
- Partner with Change Management, Communications, Training, and Finance Enablement teams to support readiness and adoption of governed Finance data and reporting standards.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
- 12+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, finance transformation, data platform delivery, enterprise technology, or related areas.
- 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional enterprise programs with multiple stakeholders, workstreams, risks, dependencies, and executive visibility.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes, including FP&A, accounting, close, forecasting, reporting, financial planning, controls, and performance management.
- Experience with data platforms, data governance, analytics, reporting, BI, ERP modernization, or finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience with tools such as Oracle EPM, EDM, Workday, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, Jira, and Confluence.
- Proven ability to manage large programs with multiple stakeholders, risks, dependencies, and executive visibility.
- Strong executive communication skills, including concise, decision-oriented updates and materials.
- Experience in a PMO, Transformation Office, Strategy Office, Finance Operations, or similar delivery function.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across Finance, Technology, Data, and business teams.
