About the Role

Kyuden Energy Partners is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development to expand its client base and enhance brand recognition within the energy industry. This role requires cultivating senior-level relationships and a proven track record in developing services-based contracts from inception to execution. The ideal candidate will embody the company's 'Like We Own It' culture and provide leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growth of the Company’s Services Business Lines, including operations & maintenance (O&M), asset management, technical and compliance services.
  • Build business relationships and professional networks with vendors, legal firms, financial entities, and others supplying services to the conventional and renewable power generation industry.
  • Position the company to propose on short- and long-term services projects.
  • Lead and/or support development of comprehensive proposals that differentiate KEP from its competitors.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows and cultivate speaking engagements at key industry events.
  • Develop marketing and branding collateral to increase brand recognition.
  • Leverage parent and subsidiary best practice and combine resources.
  • Maintain relationships with new and existing clients, project partners, vendors, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
  • Identify Service Line business acquisition opportunities that may be of interest to the company.
  • Work with FP&A to lead development of commercial modeling related to project opportunities.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of proven “deal closure” experience in a power development or services environment, with a preference in renewable energy.
  • Ability to establish a strong communication link and credibility with client management teams through the highest level of professionalism, ethics, integrity, mutual respect, and value-added approach.
  • Quick, articulate, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, and able to adapt to different internal and external constituencies.
  • Robust network of industry relationships that supports new and existing customer pipeline.
  • Team player with independent thoughts and opinions to provide candor and honesty when making key business decisions.
  • Passionate about business results, with strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Strong presentations skills.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial instincts.
  • Ability to pull resources together to pool knowledge and energy to work in tandem to completely understand and productively respond to all business challenges.
  • Extensive travel may be required at times.
