About the Role
Contribute to the growth of the organization across all lines of business through customer engagement, expert product and service knowledge, follow-up, and follow through at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone and in-store.
- Engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, and communicate processes and timelines.
- Sell parts and services to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Adhere to Company Customer Care standards to meet customer expectations.
- Manage the organization and productivity of the service business through work order and register transactions.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and demonstrate knowledge of service and replacement parts.
- Assist with customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase (OP) ordering under management direction.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to cash, credit, check, refund, and return policies.
- Collaborate with the management team to address customer service issues, complaints, and business opportunities.
- Perform routine express automotive services including tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and repair.
- Conduct oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filter and bulb replacement.
- Perform battery installation and starting and charging system testing.
- Provide cosmetic car services and thorough vehicle inspections.
- Implement and execute safety procedures, ensuring wheel torque and oil/fluid services are performed per standard operating procedures.
- Partner with Management to create a safe and healthy work environment compliant with all laws and company policies.
- Effectively communicate with associates, management, and customers, retaining and applying information appropriately.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities as a secondary key carrier in designated locations.
- Maintain an organized and neat shop.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
- One year of sales experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions).
- Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts.
- Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.
