About the Role
Mercury is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to bring customer insight, strategic clarity, and inventive execution to our Cards and Spend Management products. You will focus on products that help companies understand and control how money moves through their business, shaping how we position, launch, and grow these products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product marketing strategy to drive awareness, adoption, spend, and revenue growth for Mercury’s Cards and Spend Management products.
- Articulate product positioning, messaging, and value propositions based on deep product, market, and customer understanding.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to understand customer needs and identify gaps in incumbent products.
- Plan and execute product go-to-market strategies, including audience segmentation, messaging, channel strategy, and measurement.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to influence the product roadmap and increase product adoption and customer growth.
- Partner with Sales and Relationship Management teams to improve sales win rates and product upsell opportunities.
- Develop marketing and brand materials such as email campaigns, landing pages, advertising, case studies, social posts, and public relations outreach.
- Undertake various tasks as needed, such as writing press releases, negotiating sponsorships, or interviewing customers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience, with 3+ years of product marketing experience at a tech company.
- Ideally at least 1 year of product marketing experience in fintech.
- Expertise in personas, positioning, messaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
- Understanding of channels and content types, and how to use them effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across different levels of the company.
- Strong strategic thinking ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Customer-centric approach with experience in customer research that informs strategy.
- Experience with data analysis and SQL is a big plus.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-growing startup environment.
