About the Role

Public Storage is seeking a dynamic Senior Asset Manager to oversee operations of a significant commercial portfolio, focusing on managing projects, budgets, and ensuring on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and overseeing all reconciliations for operating expenses, taxes, and insurance.
  • Managing and executing the overall portfolio project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Identifying project success factors for analysis, reporting, and tracking.
  • Managing assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership.
  • Developing detailed project plans to track progress and major milestone timelines.
  • Using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measuring project performance using internal systems and techniques.
  • Executing business processes to ensure management of resources, budgets, and changes.
  • Handling situations outside the normal scope of a real estate professional and thinking outside of the box.
  • Addressing problems through risk management and contingency planning and presenting recommendations to the Vice President of Commercial Real Estate.
  • Performing other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of commercial property management or project management experience, preferably within commercial real estate or property management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in managing projects in a volume environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to set and accomplish personal and corporate goals.
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Outlook, Yardi, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn and use new software.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal capabilities, both internal and external.
  • Great people skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders and third-party owners informed.
  • Knowledge of property operations, including maintenance, is a plus.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
