The successful candidate will also help grow HUB's advisory practice through business development and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Present engagement findings, risk insights, and recommendations directly to senior executives and Boards, translating technical analysis into clear strategic guidance.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives across the three lines of defense, strengthening the connection between risk management and organizational strategy.
  • Design and deliver risk programs for clients across industries, applying quantitative and qualitative analysis across professional liability, general liability, cyber, and other exposures to reduce total cost of risk.
  • Drive business development for the Risk Advisory practice, identifying new opportunities and collaborating across HUB’s capabilities to design tailored client solutions.
  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships through active listening, transparency, and tailored advisory approaches.
  • Provide formal and informal leadership to consulting team members, including direct reports and coaching to consultants at varying career levels.
  • Develop governance models and risk and controls frameworks (e.g., ISO, COSO) aligned with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Represent HUB at industry conferences and speaking engagements, positioning risk as a strategic enabler for clients across sectors.
  • Collaborate with insurance markets and internal partners to negotiate and structure solutions that meet client risk and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in risk consulting, insurance brokerage, or enterprise risk management, ideally within a professional services or brokerage environment.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field; underwriting or actuarial background considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to senior executives and Boards, with strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of business development success, including meeting or exceeding revenue targets within a consulting or advisory practice.
  • Working knowledge of risk and governance frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO) and enterprise risk management best practices.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coaching consultants across a range of career levels.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry lines of business (e.g., professional liability, general liability, cyber) and related risk quantification methods.
  • Professional designations such as CRM, CIP, or FCIP considered an asset.
