About the Role

This one-year advanced fellowship in Pulmonary Vascular Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension offers the opportunity to work within the Pulmonary Hypertension Center. The fellow will gain experience in patient evaluation, management, procedures, research, and specialized areas like CTEPH and lung transplants.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a staff intensivist for one quarter of the year.
  • Evaluate new referrals and manage patients with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) in clinics and inpatient settings.
  • Perform right heart catheterizations and acute vasodilator testing.
  • Conduct Level 3 Cardiopulmonary Tests.
  • Participate in PH research.
  • Gain experience in the management of CTEPH patients.
  • Participate in lung transplant evaluations.
  • Develop skills in cardiac ultrasound on an elective basis.
  • Attend at least one annual meeting of a Pulmonary Specialty Society.
  • Attend the Annual Tufts PH Symposium.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program.
  • BC/BE in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Interest in working in an Academic environment.
  • Outstanding teaching skills are essential.
