About the Role
We are seeking compassionate LPNs to provide 1:1 nursing care for a student in a school setting. You will monitor health conditions, administer medications, and ensure the student's safety throughout the school day. Make a difference every day while helping a student learn, grow, and thrive in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student in a school setting.
- Monitor health conditions.
- Administer medications.
- Ensure student's safety throughout the school day.
- Perform G-tube and feeding tube care.
- Manage tracheostomy and ventilator care.
- Provide diabetes care.
- Monitor seizures.
- Address other specialized nursing needs.
- Perform patient care duties and treatments as per care plan.
- Provide health promotion, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications and other personalized interventions.
- Coordinate care in collaboration with a wide array of health care professionals.
- Document nursing notes regarding patient care daily.
- Lift 50lbs.
- Stand/work for extended periods.
Requirements
- LPN License issued by NYS.
- 6 months nursing experience.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Ability to work independently in a school setting.
- Ability to communicate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
