About the Role
Singer Equipment Company is the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic and New England region. Our branch in Tonawanda, NY is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to join their warehouse team.
Responsibilities
- Building and assembling equipment
- Scan in paperwork into shared drive
- Communicate daily with the contract department
- Moving, stocking, receiving, and packing outbound warehouse merchandise
- Following warehouse safety regulations
- Assisting in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts
- Operating warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks
- Performing work under general supervision
- Handling moderately complex issues and problems and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs
- Possess a clean driving record, obtain a valid license and pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination
- Work a varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings)
- Provide excellent customer service, time management and communication skills
- Mechanically inclined mindset
- Perform basic mechanical actions such as using basic hand tools, basic power tools, climb ladders, among other actions
- Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision
