About the Role

We are seeking a highly hands-on and technical Product Manager to lead the building and scaling of our next-generation payments platform. This role requires deep technical depth, platform-level strategic thinking, and a resourceful, bias-for-action mindset to build the payments platform that powers multiple Félix products, while improving conversion, authorization rates, and unit economics. You will own our payment orchestration layer and the ecosystem around it, acting as a doer who works closely with engineering to build sophisticated real-time systems while owning critical business metrics.

Responsibilities

Define and execute payments product strategy, focusing on unifying processors, banking partners, and payment methods into a single, scalable orchestration platform.
Own the evolution of the in-house payment orchestrator and its rules engine, balancing authorization rates, cost per transaction, and reliability.
Own reconciliation and settlement health across processors and banking partners, driving toward automation.
Perform hands-on data analysis and experimentation to drive improvements in conversion, acceptance, and authorization.
Expand payment methods and rails by designing, building, and launching integrations across various payment types.
Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to develop scalable solutions.
Coordinate with Fraud teams to monitor fraud performance and supply necessary data.
Partner with Business Development on processor and banking partner negotiations.
Manage stakeholder and partner relationships, communicating payments strategy and impact to executive leadership.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on payments, ideally in a fast-paced startup or growth environment.
Proven technical fluency and resourcefulness, including experience with API-based payments solutions and SQL queries.
Clear understanding of data pipelines and system resilience.
Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem (orchestration, processors, banking partners, card networks, authorization/settlement flows, tokenization, reconciliation) or a track record of rapidly acquiring deep domain knowledge.
Experience owning payment performance metrics and using them to drive product improvements.
Experience working with payment processors and orchestration, and familiarity with alternative rails is a strong plus.
Strong ownership and a bias towards action; comfortable working hands-on.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Passion for fintech and digital finance innovation.
Equivalent competencies in lieu of specific requisites will be considered.
