About the Role

This role involves overseeing compounding and material handling operations, ensuring adherence to cGMP and safety guidelines, and managing inventory control. The position requires initiating and supporting continuous improvement projects related to manufacturing effectiveness and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise up to 20 subordinates.
  • Teach and counsel on proper compounding techniques.
  • Handle fragrance materials safely and effectively.
  • Initiate, develop, and support continuous improvement projects for manufacturing, material handling, and equipment cleaning.
  • Initiate, develop, and support continuous improvement in cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, EFfCI, and ISO guidelines.
  • Oversee compounding and material handling operations, including product manufacture, inventory control, and mixing.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control of materials, including lot numbers and warehouse locations.
  • Oversee material handling duties in conjunction with Receiving and Warehouse Management.
  • Follow approved manufacturing protocols, record keeping, and methods of operation.
  • Maintain UltiPro time management database for fragrance production employees.
  • Review and maintain open order reports and production logs.
  • Attend production meetings to verify on-time production and shipment needs.
  • Communicate with planning and other departments to ensure appropriate stock levels.
  • Back up material handlers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Working knowledge of current good manufacturing practices and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Knowledge of the metric system and conversions.
  • Ability to understand safety labels, manufacturing instructions, safety data sheets, scale readouts, correspondence, labels, and code numbers.
  • Ability to follow verbal instruction.
  • Mathematical ability needed (add, subtract, multiply, divide, conversion from metric to English units for volume and weight).
  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Periods of standing, walking, reaching, and bending are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

Education Level

  • High school diploma or GED

Salary/Compensations

  • $65-$85,000 annually

  • Work within and responsible for proper cGMP, safety, allergen, Halal, kosher, SSOP, SQF, EFfCI and ISO 9001:2015 guidelines.
  • Training will be provided for carrying out the tasks essential to the implementation and effective operation of the SQF, ISO 9001:2015, GMP, HACCP and EFfCI systems.
