About the Role
WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a skilled and certified Cardiology Technologist to perform various cardiac testing techniques in compliance with CSCT guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring patient identification, safety, and preparation prior to testing while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Performing all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter scanning, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring as per compliance Company’s P&P manual guidelines.
- Inserting various types of intravenous lines and monitoring IV treatments for complications.
- Performing Nuclear stress testing on treadmill and using pharmacological interventions including Persantine (Dipyridamole), dobutamine, adenosine, etc., and administering aminophylline as required under clinical supervision.
- Ensuring all quality control assessments are performed as required.
- Taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
- Following procedures for proper equipment maintenance in accordance with department standards.
- Ensuring equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
- Preparing reports as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
- Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
- Current CPR certificate.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
