About the Role

The Enrollment Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for the agency's enrollment function, assessing and triaging caller needs to the appropriate source. Excellent customer service skills are required to ensure a prompt, kind, and helpful experience for callers.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the central point of contact for individuals and families calling to inquire about entry into services.
  • Gathers initial information from the caller and assesses if the referral needs to be directed to one of the regional Enrollment Specialists, or if a reference to a different service type is appropriate.
  • Enters initial demographic data into enrollment platform; mails or emails enrollment packet specific to the Enrollment Specialist’s Region for new inquiries.
  • Supports the Enrollment Specialist with making engagement calls to ensure families follow through on sending the documents needed for the enrollment process.
  • Logs call activity and notifies regional Enrollment Specialists of individuals coming onto their queue.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge about OPWDD services and processes, as well as other service systems and community support in general.
  • Maintains a positive and helpful demeanor as the initial point of contact for individuals and families.
  • Must be able to spend most of the day on the phone and possess the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with people with IDD (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills also required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
