About the Role
A fast-paced Medical Center in Rockland County is looking to hire a part-time or full-time Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, has an upbeat personality, positive attitude, exceptional commitment to customer service, and is a good multi-tasker.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to treatment rooms promptly, courteously, and helpfully.
- Verify patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
- Perform vitals (blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse) and record them in the patient chart.
- Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and accurately completing diagnostic and procedural coding.
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the exam rooms.
Requirements
- Previous medical assistant experience required.
- Strong computer skills and fluency in EMR systems.
- Friendly personality that can connect with clients and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate with sensitivity to a culturally diverse clientele.
- Availability to work Sundays and some evenings is preferred.
