About the Role
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for packaging and shipping hydraulic and pneumatic valves, components, manifolds, power units, electronic control panels, wiring harnesses, and other related items for delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
- Package goods for shipment.
- Prepare and print packing slips and bills of lading.
- Palletize and wrap/strap loads for truck shipment.
- Match customer order detail with shipment labeling for high accuracy.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Coordinate with warehouse, inside sales, and assembly operations to ensure timely customer order shipment.
- Apply TPS and continuous improvement principles to daily work.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to work 40 hours/week, mostly standing.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, with current operator certification and/or willingness to achieve certification.
Skills
- Warehouse experience
- Advanced knowledge of LTL shipping procedures
