About the Role

Provide coordination, communication, and oversight for applications within an assigned area of the Epic system, along with direct management of the application analyst team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the scope, schedule, and quality of work in assigned application areas or teams for current and future systems.
  • Set clear expectations for team members regarding project phases, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate activities with the project director and other managers.
  • Ensure engagement of the business community in the project.
  • Advise and coach team members on issues, success factors, and lessons learned.
  • Share the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities with team members.
  • Reinforce project importance with executives and the project director, providing consistent communication.
  • Organize organizational resources.
  • Motivate and show appreciation for the team.
  • Match team member skills to responsibilities.
  • Manage the project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks.
  • Serve as a support contact for the assigned area.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Guide workflow design, build, and testing of the system, and analyze technical issues associated with Epic software.
  • Act as a liaison between organizational needs and Epic staff.
  • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including weekly team meetings.
  • Collaborate with Epic representatives, the organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets business needs regarding project deliverables and timeline.
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for organizational workflows.
  • Participate in training and work with end users.
  • Review project and issue status with leadership on an ongoing basis.
  • Hold weekly communications with team members to discuss deliverables, issues, end-user concerns, budget, and milestones.
  • Own integrated efforts spanning multiple applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Clinical or healthcare experience required
  • Management experience strongly preferred
  • Position will be expected to become certified in at least one of the application areas within 3 months of project kickoff or within 3 months of Epic corporate training.
