About the Role

The Audience Analyst will analyze audience behavior and trends to drive subscription growth across Dow Jones consumer brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and MarketWatch, by delivering data-driven insights for content promotion and audience targeting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define data requirements and success metrics.
  • Monitor experiment performance to optimize testing outcomes.
  • Utilize AI and automation tools for test analysis, project management, and impact measurement.
  • Define and document query optimization best practices for migration from BigQuery to Snowflake.
  • Analyze customer acquisition funnels to identify and resolve friction points.
  • Build and maintain tracking dashboards in Tableau.
  • Analyze behavioral and demographic data to segment audiences.
  • Collaborate with Newsroom and Subscription teams to design and track growth campaigns.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in subscription, marketing, or data roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with testing platforms like Piano Composer and StatSig.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to provide clear, actionable recommendations from data.
  • Ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for news and subscription models.
