About the Role
Prepare delicious meals for senior living residents, their families, and guests, ensuring high-quality dishes and adherence to sanitation regulations. This role involves menu planning, food preparation, record keeping, inventory management, and regulatory compliance to delight the senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve quality meals
- Ensure special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food, as directed
- Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements
- Monitor food preparation, storage and handling to ensure adherence with HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols
- Maintain accurate hot and cold food, refrigerator, and freezer temperature logs
Requirements
- Maintains a current ServSafe certification or able to obtain ServSafe certification
- One year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and special diets
- High school diploma or GED accepted
- Competent in organizational, time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
- Associate must use proper body mechanics.
- Able to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs.
