About the Role

Hawthorne Foundation Inc. serves children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, offering educational, vocational, and life skills programs, parent training, recreational activities, and crisis intervention. Our mission is to provide lifelong quality educational, habilitative, vocational, and recreational programs using an Applied Behavior Analysis approach for individuals with autism and other intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate staff efforts within the residence.
  • Schedule and lead weekly staff meetings.
  • Complete residential reports accurately and attend all Program Planning Team meetings.
  • Act as a liaison for contracted services and agencies, ensuring prompt notification and coordination.
  • Ensure timely correction of environmental deficiencies and compliance with all regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain records of emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Develop and manage the home's budget, ensuring operations stay within guidelines.
  • Participate in In-Service training.
  • Become certified in First Aid, CPR, SCIP, and Medication Administration within 3 months of employment.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all consumers in the home.
  • Adhere to all Hawthorne Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Be available on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience with the adult disabled.
  • CPR/AED, SCIP-R, AMAP Certified.

  • $1500 sign-on bonus for new full-time employees ($750 on completion of 3 months, $750 on completion of 6 months)
