About the Role

Alstom is seeking a full-time Installation Supervisor in Toronto, ON to contribute to the On-Corridor Works project. This role involves overseeing on-site works, supporting signalling activities, conducting pre-construction surveys, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, playing a pivotal role in reducing the carbon footprint of public transit.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of subcontractors on site
  • Ensure compliance with Alstom practices, AZDP and national regulations
  • Produce site documentation such as Job Hazard Analysis, Work Plans and readiness reviews
  • Managing access requests
  • Managing tools and ensuring regular inspections and calibration
  • Progress reporting and shift reports
  • Safety inspection and Quality checks
  • Oversee various on-site works
  • Support the successful delivery of signalling activities
  • Conduct DD&I and pre-construction surveys such as environmental, asset condition surveys, SUE investigations, signalling site marking
  • Deliver signalling installation works
  • Manage progress reporting
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics
  • Strong knowledge of railway products and services across different market segments (Urban, Mainline, Freight, and Product)
  • 5+ years of experience in Signalling field operations and site supervision
  • Strong knowledge of DD&I, pre-construction surveys and site marking activities
  • Excellent understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety standards (desired)
  • Interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to primarily work in field environments under seasonal conditions, adhering to safety rules
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or Statutory Holidays as per business needs
  • Occasional travel flexibility
