About the Role
UR Thompson Gastroenterology clinic is looking for a nurse with advanced clinical skills to join our team. This RN must be resourceful, creative and be able to make independent decisions within their scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education
- Provides quality patient care under the guidance of the providers
- Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care
- Assist the providers with scheduling patient procedures, patient clearance, and pre and post procedure education
Requirements
- Current NYS RN license required
- Current Infection Control Certificate required
- BLS certification required
- Three years of recent nursing experience required
- Physician office nursing experience and triage experience preferred
- Gastroenterology experience preferred
Skills
- Skill in provision of care to patients of the Gastroenterology
- Ability to collect, document and access data in the electronic medical record
- Telephone triage

- Marilyn Sands Outpatient Clinic at the Hospital
