Responsibilities
- Provide bi-monthly, individual, agenda-driven supervision for Substance Abuse Counselors.
- Conduct monthly chart audits for timely and accurate submission of clinical paperwork.
- Guide counselors by communicating agency goals and priorities to foster employee ownership.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managerial style.
- Directly observe the clinical practice of employees.
- Seek appropriate supervision and consultation.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Report clinical emergencies to the Unit Director and utilize on-call contacts.
- Participate in reassessment appointments.
- Provide assessments, group, and family counseling.
- Coordinate training with counselors to support their development.
- Create and monitor monthly staff schedules.
- Conduct yearly evaluations and provide growth plans for Substance Abuse Counselors.
- Oversee chart audits and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
- Approve Learning Experience/Contracts created by counselors.
- Review weekly packages, facilitate package meetings, and coordinate package delivery to families.
- Adhere to Professional and Ethical Responsibilities as outlined in the Outreach Project Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Participate in special family events.
- Participate in Parent Support Group as needed.
