About the Role

GTI is expanding into Texas and building a pipeline of qualified candidates for future project opportunities. This evergreen posting allows us to connect with talented people before specific openings are available so we can move quickly when projects begin. We are looking to start projects around December and will contact candidates in October and November.

Responsibilities

  • Leading crews safely and productively in the field
  • Planning daily and weekly work activities
  • Coordinating manpower, materials, tools, equipment, access, and work areas
  • Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, drawings, one-lines, schedules, and work packages
  • Communicating expectations clearly to crews and subcontractors
  • Tracking progress, production, constraints, and field issues
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, safety, quality, clients, vendors, and other trades
  • Supporting RFIs, change documentation, timekeeping, material needs, and project reporting
  • Identifying risks, resolving field conflicts, and escalating issues appropriately
  • Maintaining safety, quality, housekeeping, and schedule expectations
  • Coaching crew members and developing future leaders

Requirements

  • Previous field leadership experience required for foreman, general foreman, and superintendent-level roles
  • Strong safety record and commitment to building a safety-first culture
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Ability to plan work, lead people, solve problems, and maintain accountability
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation to assigned project locations
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules when project needs require
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment and site-specific requirements
  • OSHA 30 required for leadership roles

Skills

  • Industrial, commercial, electrical, civil, data center, utility, or mission-critical construction
  • Leading field crews in fast-paced project environments
  • Workface planning and constraint removal
  • Electrical installation, medium-voltage/low-voltage systems, underground utilities, civil scopes, or site infrastructure
  • Scheduling, manpower planning, production tracking, and crew coordination
  • Quality control, inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation
  • Safety leadership, pre-task planning, JSAs/JHAs, incident prevention, and stop-work authority
  • Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, tablets, digital forms, or construction management systems
  • Mentoring apprentices, operators, laborers, electricians, leads, and foremen
  • Communicating professionally with clients, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Leading by example
