About the Role
This role accelerates business value by bagging and/or stacking ice on pallets. Demonstrates "True North" attributes including customer focus, respect, clear communication, servant leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset. Utilizes lean principles and methodologies to drive process improvements and value creation.
Responsibilities
- Stack a variety of products, ranging from 5lb to 40lb bags onto standard pallets, ensuring neatness and squareness.
- Monitor product quality, checking for improperly tied bags, foreign objects, yellow ice, and deviations from standards.
- Learn to start and stop the production line as needed.
- Maintain a safe work area and report potential hazards to the supervisor.
- Clean the immediate work area and the entire facility according to the Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
- Maintain high safety standards.
Requirements
- Must have High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to count numbers.
- Proficiency in basic math.
- Ability to complete simple paperwork.
- Must be able to lift and stack up to 45lbs throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Must be able to work in a room with temperatures of 45 – 60 degrees.
- Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
