About the Role

This role is responsible for moving completed pallets from production lines, shrink wrapping them, and preparing them for stacking or truck loading. It also involves moving pallets within the warehouse and potentially triple stacking them in freezers, all while adhering to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets from the line with a forklift and place them for shrink wrapping.
• Operate the shrink wrap machine.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers using proper documentation.
• Operate the forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform accurate inventory counts in all freezers.
• Retrieve triple stacked product safely and load trucks efficiently.
• Ensure a limited number of short pallets in the freezer.
• Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics.
• Maintain high safety standards.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in short-term memory.

• Work must be done in a manner to maintain product flow in the production room while stacking ice and loading trucks.
• Accountable for freezer cleanliness, product, and forklift.
• Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
