About the Role
Design, develop, and improve software utilizing various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. This role involves bringing deep technical knowledge, serving as a subject matter specialist, providing Level 3 support, and collaborating closely with business partners and peer teams in a dynamic, global environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and contribute to technology communities.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using professional knowledge and skills to deliver work impacting the business function.
- Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
- Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
- Identify the need for inclusion of other areas of specialization to complete assignments.
- Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects, utilizing cross-functional methodologies or practices.
- Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders for escalated issues.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Perform work closely related to other areas, understanding how areas coordinate to achieve organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with other areas for business-aligned support, staying updated on business activity and strategy.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-communicate content.
- Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Requirements
- Ample academic background in computer science or engineering.
- Experience in full stack development using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, EJB, JDBC, JPA, Servlets, JSP, Struts, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.
- Ability to interpret user requirements and translate them into high-quality, deployable production code.
- A validated record of overcoming tasks.
- Considerable commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Experience working with Spring Framework, JBoss, and GridGain.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, EMS, and MQ, as well as XML.
- Proficiency with build and version control tools such as Maven and GitLab DUO.
