About the Role

The Associate Technical Program Manager (TPM) supports the planning and delivery of technology initiatives within Visa’s Operations & Infrastructure (O&I) organization. This role works closely with experienced Program Managers, Engineers, and Platform Teams to help deliver reliable, secure, and highly available internal infrastructure and platforms. This position is well-suited for a recent college graduate interested in how large-scale technology systems are planned, built, and maintained, offering hands-on experience with infrastructure refreshes, platform upgrades, and internal application support while learning industry-standard program management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support project and program managers in planning, tracking, and delivering infrastructure and technology initiatives.
  • Help coordinate activities across engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
  • Track project schedules, action items, risks, and dependencies.
  • Assist with organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting notes and decisions.
  • Learn to manage basic project scope, timelines, and deliverables under guidance.
  • Help gather data, update reports, and create simple summaries or presentations for stakeholders.
  • Participate in technology refresh initiatives such as hardware upgrades, operating system updates, and internal platform enhancements.
  • Learn how internal infrastructure supports business-critical applications and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2 or more years of work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or graduating soon) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of technology concepts (e.g., servers, networks, applications, databases)
  • Familiarity with project or team-based work through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities
  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in technology or project coordination
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum concepts through coursework or student projects
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, or Teams
  • Strong Excel or data organization skills
  • Interest in Technical Program Management or Technology Operations as a career path
  • The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
