About the Role
The Intrepid Lane Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking RN candidates to provide patient care during surgery/procedures. This brand-new center provides outpatient Urology, Colo-Rectal, and Endoscopy procedural care, and is expanding services and building its team.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care while the surgery/procedure is in progress, with a focus on patient safety.
- Reviews patient medical information for completion prior to the procedure, including history and physical and consent.
- Prepares and gathers necessary supplies, instrumentation, and equipment prior to the procedure.
- Completes room management between procedures (turn over activities).
- Completes all intraoperative care documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited program.
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license required.
- BLS certification upon hire required.
- Candidates can transition to, or cross cover other specialties, including Pre-Surgical (Prep) RN and Recovery Room RN skillsets.
