About the Role
This role is part of a boutique three-community portfolio in Austin, TX, including City View at Mueller, Flats at Berkman, and Flats at Wellington. The Leasing Consultant will deliver an exceptional resident experience and collaborate with a small, dedicated team in a dynamic, personalized environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the leasing process from tour to move-in, including closing sales, completing lease documents, and inspecting apartments for an excellent move-in experience.
- Understand and articulate the value of property features in relation to prospective resident needs.
- Develop creative marketing strategies to increase property traffic, including online posts, social media, and outreach.
- Support occupancy and retention goals through follow-up with potential and current residents.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and best judgment to handle unpredictable situations.
- Maintain accurate and in-depth knowledge of the property and competitors to inform prospective residents.
- Build resident relationships through courteous and timely responses to needs and concerns.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in preparing lease documents, resident files, applications, and bookkeeping.
- Collaborate with teammates to plan and organize resident events.
- Assist the Assistant Manager in collecting delinquent rents.
- Visually inspect and prepare the entire property daily for cleanliness, including office, models, compactor, vacant units, curb appeal, and amenity areas.
- Inspect and touch up models and vacant units.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and office.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Requirements
- Cheerful attitude and customer service focus.
- Tech savvy, with the ability to learn and work with property management applications.
- Strong sales, leasing, and closing skills.
- Must pass a background check and reference check prior to the first day to verify employment eligibility.
