About the Role

The Veterinary Eye Center is seeking a Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about animals to join our team in Manhattan. We are a modern veterinary practice focused on providing world-class care and promoting a healthier, more sustainable future for the veterinary profession by combating burnout. Our state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative environment provide the necessary tools and support for success and growth.

Responsibilities

Assist Doctor and Technicians in providing a seamless client and patient appointment experience
Handling and restraint of patients for consultation exams and patient sample collection
Handling and submission of patient samples to in-house and external laboratory
Thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking of appointment exam rooms and appointment treatment area

Requirements

1+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Assistant
Confidence with handling and restraint
The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
A commitment to the welfare of animals
