About the Role

The Assistant Restaurant Leader supports the Restaurant Leader in daily operations, upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture. This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen and customer-facing environment with varied temperatures and requires physical exertion and use of protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers
  • Owns the onboarding, status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
  • Creates crewmember work and training schedules
  • Manages the performance of all hourly crewmembers, including development, coaching, and documentation
  • Acts as manager on duty, opening and closing the restaurant
  • Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
  • Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
  • Executes shift management meeting Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
  • Uses required tools, forms, and logs to support shift execution and document results
  • Deploys crewmembers during a shift
  • Provides exemplary customer service
  • Utilizes reward and recognition programs for crewmembers
  • Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval
  • Ensures cleanliness and good working order of the restaurant facility
  • Completes other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple changing priorities
  • Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently independently and collaboratively
  • Able to recognize and analyze problems, set goals, create plans, and implement solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptable to new systems
  • Able to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Able to travel as needed for work-related functions and training
  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • New restaurant opening experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Salary/Compensations

  • $67,000 to $78,000 annually plus monthly training incentive
