About the Role
The Assistant Restaurant Leader supports the Restaurant Leader in daily operations, upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture. This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen and customer-facing environment with varied temperatures and requires physical exertion and use of protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers
- Owns the onboarding, status change and payroll process for all hourly crewmembers
- Creates crewmember work and training schedules
- Manages the performance of all hourly crewmembers, including development, coaching, and documentation
- Acts as manager on duty, opening and closing the restaurant
- Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
- Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
- Executes shift management meeting Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
- Uses required tools, forms, and logs to support shift execution and document results
- Deploys crewmembers during a shift
- Provides exemplary customer service
- Utilizes reward and recognition programs for crewmembers
- Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval
- Ensures cleanliness and good working order of the restaurant facility
- Completes other assigned duties
Requirements
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple changing priorities
- Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively and efficiently independently and collaboratively
- Able to recognize and analyze problems, set goals, create plans, and implement solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptable to new systems
- Able to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
- Able to travel as needed for work-related functions and training
- 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- New restaurant opening experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid driver’s license

- $67,000 to $78,000 annually plus monthly training incentive
