About the Role
Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Per Diem Maintenance Technician to assist with daily operations and special facility projects. This role is responsible for maintaining the physical asset of the property and ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property.
- Complete all assigned maintenance service requests, including preventive maintenance.
- Complete the make-ready process for vacant rooms.
- Deliver necessary goods to assigned units.
- Assist in monitoring work performed by outside contractors.
- Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled (on-call).
- Be prepared to work extended hours or be called in due to emergencies or staffing needs.
- Carry a cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain all assigned building systems.
- Maintain dumpster areas and grounds in good condition.
- Alert the Director of Maintenance of any unusual occurrences or damage.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, vendors, contractors, and employees.
- Ensure safety standards comply with all Facility, City, State, Federal, and OSHA guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or High School Equivalent.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance/engineering, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Long Term Care experience as a Maintenance Technician is a huge plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Must be reliable and dedicated to providing excellent service to residents.
