About the Role

ARC | RIOT is searching for a Color Print Production Operator to join their team in an exciting, fast-paced print environment, supporting the mission to deliver quality work on time.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize incoming orders based on customer needs, workload, media, finishing, bindery, and machine capabilities.
• Estimate time and media requirements, informing the production manager and/or client of any requests that cannot be met and providing recommendations.
• Receive, process, and modify client files as needed for printing per specifications.
• Make suggestions regarding media, substrate, bindery, and other finishing options.
• Operate and maintain printers, bindery, and/or finishing equipment.
• Maintain inventory of media, substrate, ink, toner, bindery, and/or finishing supplies.
• Quality control printed and finished materials to high-quality standards.
• Package completed projects for Will-Call, Delivery, or Shipping.
• Organize and arrange the work area to enhance productivity.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet client expectations.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Assist customer service by answering phones and taking messages as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Finishing experience is a must.
• Must be able to operate a flatbed printer.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuver prints, media, and substrates carefully, ensuring no damage during transfer or packaging.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask while maintaining quality, accuracy, and scale.
• A can-do attitude with a continuing need for self-improvement.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Associates of Arts Degree focusing on Graphic/Production Design and/or 2+ years' equivalent experience in the color reprographics field using design and file/print editing software.

• Adobe CC (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign)
• Onyx RIP Que
• Fiery RIP software
• Colex Cut software
• MS Software (Outlook, Excel, & Word)
• Tech savvy – able to navigate new software with limited training.
• Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in color printing, duplicating, binding, and finishing.
