About the Role

Provide lifesaving care in a community-based flight environment, operating as an ICU in the sky to deliver advanced pre-hospital life support while maintaining safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-hospital advanced life support from initial contact until patient transfer
  • Maintain thorough patient care documentation
  • Practice within defined state and company scope of practice
  • Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing training
  • Manage and maintain medical equipment and aircraft supplies
  • Participate in pre-mission briefings, mission debriefings, and safety checklists
  • Assist pilots with radio, navigation, and visual observation
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for neonatal and pediatric transport
  • Participate in departmental activities, research, and committees

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of recent busy 911 experience
  • Registered EMT-P licensed in the state served
  • Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Advanced trauma course certification (TNCC, ATLS/ATCN, TNATC, or CAMTS-approved)
  • NRP certification prior to completion of third-rider orientation
  • NIMS Training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat upon hire
  • Weight not to exceed 225 pounds including empty flight suit and boots
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Regular scheduled attendance
