About the Role

Humber River Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their Medical Imaging team. This role involves scanning a variety of patients and ensuring adherence to MRI safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Scanning a variety of cases, including: neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, angiographic and breast patients.
  • Prepare and assess patients for MRI including MRI safety screening, obtaining contrast consent, confirm exam validity, and resourcing Radiologist as is necessary.
  • Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via PACS.
  • Knowledge of and dutifully follows MRI safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and self.

Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) as an MRI Technologist required.
  • MRT plus MRI certification required.
  • Previous recent clinical MRI experience required.
  • Must have working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Must have good teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Must be IV certified.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.

  • 8 hour rotating shifts on weekdays, evenings, nights and/or weekends

Experience Level

  • Previous recent clinical MRI experience required

Education Level

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) as an MRI Technologist
  • MRT plus MRI certification
  • Registration with CAMRT preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $36.84 - $51.77
