About the Role
Seeking a commercially driven and fully qualified Management Accountant to support our rapidly growing AI Practice. This role involves providing financial insight, cost control, and performance analysis across AI-driven projects, solutions, and professional services.
Responsibilities
- Provide monthly reporting on actual results, revenue accounting for fixed price, annuity, and T&M, and ensure data integrity.
- Assist in monthly forecasting for the AI Practice (Professional Services Business) by collaborating with the revenue leader to understand forward load, planner, and pipeline.
- Report monthly on revenue and gross margin by customer, deal, and type.
- Analyze results against forecast and budget on a deal-by-deal basis, providing meaningful insights into variances.
- Oversee financial tracking of AI projects, including time & materials, fixed-price, and subscription-based models.
- Ensure appropriate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
- Monitor project margins, utilization rates, and cost performance.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reporting for all Bell entities, reconciling prior month accruals and ensuring timesheet compliance.
- Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, invoices, recharges, and analysis.
- Support inputs into the Annual Operating Budget for AI.
- Develop, maintain, and run financial models for daily operations and perform analysis.
- Manage existing KPI data and develop further metrics.
- Support external audits.
- Maintain robust documentation and audit trails for financial activities.
Requirements
- 2-5 years post-qualified experience.
- Preferably have worked in a Technology or Services company.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics BC is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced Excel skills in financial modeling.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
