About the Role

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking CDL Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver materials to customer project sites. This role offers local routes, daily home time, and a supportive culture focused on safety and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service.
  • Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.
  • Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, representing the company positively.
  • Unload, protect, move, and stage materials as specified by customer directive.
  • Adhere to all driving regulations, such as wearing a seatbelt.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
  • Use proper lifting techniques.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings related to material delivery and company operations.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Support company values in Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and being a Company of Choice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
  • Minimum 1 year of consistent commercial driving experience.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment.
  • Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles.
  • Must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including dollies, flat carts, and rock carts.
