About the Role
Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking CDL Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver materials to customer project sites. This role offers local routes, daily home time, and a supportive culture focused on safety and respect.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service.
- Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.
- Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
- Use proper lifting techniques.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
- Attend and participate in all required meetings and company training programs.
- Support company values including Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
- Minimum 1 year of consistent commercial driving experience.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.
- Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles.
- Must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including dollies, flat carts, and rock carts.
