Responsibilities
- Support monthly forecast and annual budget planning processes.
- Assist with headcount reconciliation and workforce reporting activities.
- Monitor labor and non-labor spend against financial plans.
- Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and presentations.
- Support cost accounting activities, including journal entry preparation and validation.
- Assist with financial modeling and business case development.
- Analyze organizational spending trends and provide recommendations.
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Maintain data integrity across finance systems, reports, and planning tools.
- Collaborate with finance professionals and business stakeholders to deliver actionable financial insights.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Finance concentration).
- Returning to school following completion of the co-op assignment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Junior or Senior standing with at least one semester remaining after the co-op term.
- Prior internship, co-op, or coursework related to finance, accounting, or business analysis.
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, financial statement analysis, and cost accounting concepts.
- Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP, Workday, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Interest in pursuing a career in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or Business Operations.
