About the Role
As a Backend Software Engineer on the ZEOS B2B Platform team, you will build high-performance services that power partner-facing products within the Zalando ecosystem. You will work in an API-first environment, transforming complex business logic into scalable, reliable software, and be involved in the entire lifecycle of your services from development to operation.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful services.
- Take responsibility for the full development cycle, including design, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in the deployment and operation of services within AWS and Kubernetes.
- Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and show an interest in Fullstack context.
Requirements
- Professional experience in Java development and a good understanding of the Spring Boot framework.
- Familiarity with Microservice architectures and experience working with REST APIs and data handling.
- Proven track record of delivering stable features in an agile environment and taking ownership of tasks.
- Comfort using build tools like Gradle and interest in automated testing and CI/CD workflows.
- Eagerness to work with AWS and Kubernetes and embrace the "You Write It, You Run It" mindset.
- Strong English skills and enjoyment of collaborative problem-solving in a diverse, international team environment.
