About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Promote independence, choice, inclusion, and dignity for individuals.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Support with personal care where required.
  • Administer and manage medication.
  • Support individuals to access the community and participate in activities.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and social outings.
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Report concerns and escalate incidents appropriately.
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments, and support guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a female applicant due to the specific needs of the individuals being supported.
  • This post is a genuine occupational requirement permitted under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
  • Role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

  • Flexible between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm
  • Alternate weekends

Experience Level

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Carer is welcomed but not essential.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, warehousing, cleaning, customer service, or administration is also considered.

Education Level

  • Paid-for Care Certificate (industry-recognised qualification)
  • Paid-for Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ qualification (industry-recognised qualification)

Salary/Compensations

  • £12.75 - £12.95 per hour
  • £12.85 per hour upon completion of Care Certificate
  • £12.95 per hour upon completion of NVQ qualification
